5at CONVERSION to 6spd

how hard is the conversion and wat is needed? i can get my hands on a FULL 08 tls 6spd swap. i wanna put it in my 05 tl. i am mechanically inclined. jus looking to see if any one has any info on it.


are all the mounts in the same location 04-06/07-08 auto to manual?

I'd trade in your car instead - not really worth doing a conversion on these cars. There's still quite a few 6MT available.

I think the amount of stuff you would have to do in order to make the car MT would take more expertise and time than most people have. Changing out and wiring the engine, tranny,suspension, gauge cluster and everything else would take someone with some serious 3 gen TL know how.

yea it has been asked many times before, its not worth it. Trying searching I'm sure you'll find some info on it. Just trade in your car for a manual one.

aight well since its soo hard. we gunna put the swap in a Integra. already got teh custom harness waitin on the mounts and J2K adapter for hte trans.

i would like to trade it in but whose gunna trade me prolly not the dealer. my car is payed off so should i jus look for people who have a 6speed that are lookin to trade or go to dealer?

Physically making it work seems like the easy part.

I wonder what kind of problems you would encounter with the ECU.... I guess that would have to be swapped too?

Not so sure- it might end up feeling like a big block car- all nose heavy, pivoting around the front tires, plowing in the turns.

I always wanted to try a J35 in an S2000- you could at least get the engine set back enough not to completely FUBAR the weight dist.

yea tru well ive participated in a 3.0 cl 6speed type-s in EK hatch and that shit RIPPPED sounded like v6 mustang spinning 1-2-3-4th it was nuts comptech header comptech center exit exhaust tuned wit hondata it was pretty crazy `1 d series 1 b seriues and 1 h series motor mount was used to put it in and have sit right!
