Question 3rd Cat Delete

Hello!
So I have been debating on chopping out the 3rd Cat. I am not quite sure whether there is any power gain by doing this. I searched the website to see if anyone has posted any true gains by doing this with no success. Theoretically it will decrease back pressure but considering the ECU isn't really tuned for it there wont be much gain. What do you veterans think?

Buy an RV6 Jpipe. It removes the 3rd cat and opens up your exhaust system a bit.

^^^ what he said...I just installed the v3 rv6 jpipe amd there is a noticeable power gain and it adds good sound ....but with that said, if ur short on cash replacing the cat with a straight pipe should free up a couple of horses but u get alot more with the jpipe since the stock one is horrible for air flow

It will free up 3-5 hp at most.

I am gearing this car towards auto cross so I'm not really looking to dump a whole lot into power gains. Thanks for the advice!
