3.5" Quad tips

Hi everyone, I was looking to put some 3.5" quad tips on my TL and I was wondering if I would have to modify my bumper to get them to fit. Please advise. Thanks!

Stack through the sunroof - best option.

I was considering that but I was worried that it might get a bit chilly in the winter. Looks great though

The ATLP Cat-Back for the TL-S model uses Quad 3.5" Tips.

The 3.5" tips are too large for a base cutout though. For this reason we are experimenting with quad 3" tips with are tight but do fit in a base cut-out. Here we have one of our quad Accord setups mocked up in a Base A-Spec rear lip...we featured this on our @Heeltoeautomotive instagram page about a year ago...

the dual 3.5 tips wont fit with a base bumper. you need a type s bumper OR a type s a-spec lip and cut the base bumper openings wider (its covered up by the lip)

cutting the bumper isn't so bad if you really want to have a temporary or cheap fix for this. That's what I did with my Base when I installed the Endless Quads. Then I just bought some universal rubber guard and wrapped the bumper where I cut it to give it still a stockish looking look.

So Ive had my Base TL with A spec lip kit for about a month now and made an account just today for future questions and whatnot. Can you show me a picture of what your exhaust area looks? Ill get the 3 inch if i have to be the 3.5-4 inch look so much better so i am considering just chopping up the plastic if i have to and just wanna get an idea of what it would look like. thanks

Thanks for the great info! Sadly, I've decided to part ways with my TL tomorrow afternoon. Going to hopefully be picking up a 2008 BMW 328xi Coupe Saturday morning!

no offense man, but that doesnt look very good. looks like a hack job plus the tips stick out way too far... but if you install a type S a spec lip, it would make it all look a whole lot better, the cut parts would be covered and the tips wouldnt stick out so far.

Appreciaye tou taking the pics. personally not a huge fan of the look but I feel like if would look different for me since I'd be getting the 1 outlet- 2 tip and I do have an a spec rear. Still debating

no offense taken. like i said this is what i did as a temporary fix until i was able to get my own Type-S bumper to replace my jacked up bumper. it was just a simple fix for a temporary problem.
