I have a stock see above with stage 2 intake and a tein coil over kit .
I want to tune my car and better understand the tuner I bought.
My goals are to build this car to 500+ whp
Unless you're contemplating a big a$$ turbo setup, ain't going to happen. Regardless. to bump you're car to that kind of power it is going to cost you nearly as much as the car is worth.
Ummm.... Maybe 300-325 hp but 500 ain't gonna happen...
Still, between an intake, flashpro and exhuast your car will feel much stronger... You can get a little crazy and swap the throttle body for a J37 TB, and this will add some torque down low...
Of course you'e be doing pretty well if you had a dollar for every claimed project which A) never got started, or B) never got completed.
If only.
@Chris Jordan Flashpro ownership can be intimidating when you first use it. Familiarize yourself with the software by setting some time aside to play around with it on the computer. Initial setup is pretty straightforward. Plug device into computer and let it do the rest.
You can also hit up the Hondata forum, which features starting guides for many different devices: https://www.hondata.com/forum/
ahahaha 500+ that "plus" is hilarious as if the car will hit 500.. not to be mean but you have NO IDEA how many new members with less than 50 posts come to this forum and say "i just bought a TL-S, my goal is (insert a number you wont reach)" and then a few weeks/months go by and you NEVER hear from them again
the ONLY ones ive seen hit big numbers were the members that didnt future claim big projects... the ones that create a new thread, start breaking their build down as well as provide pictures of actual parts being in their possession on the 1st post are the ones you know are serious.. not the ones making an announcement about their newly acquired car followed by, again big claims
either way have fun with the car.. my recommendation, spend money on suspension > performance unless you got DEEP pockets
you can spend $1500-$2000 on suspension and see the world of difference it makes or you can spend $2000 in performance and still get smoked by most modern V6s and turbo 4s nowadays
and if you are really serious about 500+ whp then you need Gerzy Bear's rotrex supercharger which is good for 550whp but again expect to pay around a minimum of $5500 just for the supercharger.. factor in labor plus tuning and you'll be around 7 grand in the hole easy
so when you expect to hit your goals by? 2019?

Well said!
Though he did spend $700 on Hondata. Jordan can we see a pic?

lol im sure he'll get a LOT of use out of that Hondata with his "Stage 2" intake and coilovers.. btw what is a stage 2 intake or did the op mean AEM V2? im thinking a stage 2 must be when the intake pipe is larger than 6 inches wide?
Wow so much luv out there thanks guys , I've never once said all this was going to done over night . I have a full time job and a family.
Update : the tls is up on blocks in the brothers shop , we've had some small set backs 1 is a stripped caliper bolt on the drivers side total possible off and was a cunt to get out . 2 was we could not for the life of us get the axles off either side , so that was a bit of a set back . But the clutch kit job is under way and plan to have it wrapped up shortly.
As far as my intake it's a k&n typhoon cold air , that was installed two weeks ago ( huge improvement) .
Ordered new ball joints and aftermarket cv shafts , might as well as its all apart eh .
OK, so we're being cynical. It's because we've seen people like this before come on here, ask the same question you did, and then disappear when nothing happens (after life happens).
Still don't understand what a "stage 2" intake is..
Oh come on, everybody knows that; Stage 1 intakes increase horsepower by 50%, Stage 2 intakes increase the horsepower by twice that, and Stage 3 add yet another 50% for a total of a 150% gain in power over stock. Don't believe me? No problem, just ask any teenager with a racing computer game; they all know spending as little as $3,000 will bump a 1996 Civic engine to 800 Horsepower.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Hector is gonna be running 3 Honda Civic's with spoon engines. On top of that he just came into Harry's and ordered 3 t66 turbo's with NOS's and a Motec System Exhaust
