I just got a 06 TL , and got into a little problem. I need a left tail light for 06 TL, which for some reason is not available unless you buy it from the dealer at $130.00.

I dealer told me that the part # for 05' and 06' is the same so I can buy that. All I need really is just the cover because only the plastic/glass cracked. But everywhere I ask I am told there is not such thing and that I have to get the entire light.

It is just a cover. Is this for real? Or some bs. Please I need some advice on this thanks.

I have an 06' That is not 3rd Generation.

 

Yes it is. Look up; 2nd gen is from 1999-2003. 2004 - now = 3rd Gen TL.

You need a whole lamp; there is no replacement lens only. If that lamp is the same side as your damaged one, maybe you shoudl consider it. If the scratches are minor surface ones, a good polish will take em right out.

But I would ask for close-up pictures of the scratches to see how bad it is first.
