9.60 @ 79.10 mph. Lots of tire spin and a shitty 2.5 second 60 ft. Need drag radials/practice badly.

Just to put into perspective how important traction is, I saw AWD Trailblazer SS's running 8.90's at the same 79 mph as my 9.60 run. Their 60 ft times were probably in the 1.90's.

Racegas won't make it run any hotter and it won't blow it up. However, leaded race gas will ruin your convertors and 02s and won't give you a performance advantage unless the car is already pinging.

That's pretty good for a 5AT with light bolt ons.

Wish I could cut a 2.12 sixty foot.

I still wanna know how you cut a 2.15 sixty foot on street tires before you were supercharged. Refresh my memory!

Why bother on an 1/8 mile track unless you're on tire?

I agree for the most part. Although the TL isn't a very good drag car by any measure (even with 300+ whp), it's really pointless in the 1/8 on street tires; esp. modded manuals. At least in the 1/4 you can show that it's got decent top end and that it can hit triple digits.

i really just do it for fun...the 1/4 mile track is an hour away while the 1/8th mile is a couple of miles down the road...i cut 2.1's before the blower...2.2,2.3s with the blower...soon as give it more than 1/2 throttle it goes straight to the rev limiter....im getting some 245 drag radials on some lw wheels..that should make some difference.

I predict a 12 second TL! Hopefully once you make a few passes on drag radials others will follow.
