'08 MT Type S is Back
I have been absent for a while. My apologies to everybody. I was expected to run the 1/4 mile on the Type S a few months back. After all I never had the chance during my last visit to the USA
Anyways I was focusing more on my little 97 Integra GSR True Street drag car which we finally finished. I am happy to annouce the numbers of 750whp/515tq at 30PSI no dog box tranny.
Few weeks ago we tested it on the 1/8 mile running a decent 6.6 secs at 119mph. After a few more adjustments 2 weeks later I was able to return to USA from Afghanistan and I took it to West Palm Beach racetrack. First 1/4 mile pass at 9.69@155mph, second pass at 9.71@155mph. It was hot as hell and the track was a little loose. The car can loose another 250pounds and better conditions I know it will run a 9.3 secs.
Now I am back to work on the daily driver (08 MT Type S) just for fun. Last numbers about 4 months ago was 296whp/262tq. The car stock pulled 253whp...Thats 43whp difference no NOS, SC or Turbo. Pretty damn good for bolt ons.
I bought the FX300 Clutchmaster's kit. Unfortunately the disc that this kit brings is a piece of sh!t. Not even 300 miles and it was all ready slipping from 3rd to 4th gear. Im guessing too much power all ready for the disc.
My mechaninc and his shop members are bringing the tranny down to inspect it and I think...I will be going with a 6 puck sprung disc. Im annoyed that I have not enjoyed the fact of not taking the car to the 1/4 mile yet, leaving all you friends waiting on numbers. I have also bought to install next week new stoptech brake pads, with crossdrilled/slotted rotors (all 4 of em), eibach pro kit springs and xlr8 tq damper...
Im still debating about getting the mounts 62a from excelerate...lots of vibration for a luxury car. Once this is all done and the damn disc doesnt slip then track time...Im expecting a 13.5secs@103mph...
I will post links to the different videos of the TL...I do not have the 2 videos of the integra posted on you tube only on facebook...I'll see what I can do...meanwhile enjoy

curious to know what all bolt ons you have on your TL... And in the second video saw a white GTR in the background do you know what his numbers were lol?...thanks... fast ass GSR by the way and digging the 290hp on the TL keep up the good work...
OP, get that clutch sorted out and I'm sure the TL will trap in the 103-104 range. Did you get tires yet? I got some Nitto drag radials and while they still spin on the street at 36 psi, they're worlds better than all seasons. With 18 psi and heating them they'll hook pretty well.
Mods are as follows:
Intake: AEM CAI, PnP Intake Runners, Intake Manifold Heat Shield Gasket, TB heat shield gaskets, TB Spacer.
Exhaust: Pre-Cat Deletes, ATLP J-Pipe, ATLP race pipe, XLR8 quad cat back (resonated)
Tranny: Clutchmasters FX300 Kit soon with a sprung 6 puck disc, Slave Cylinder Removed
Suspension: Eibach Pro Kit Springs
Brakes: All four StopTech Crossdrilled/Slotted Rotors, StopTech BrakePads
Miscellaneous: BFGoodRich R-1 Tires...245/40/17ZR (Only for the strip), XLR8 Torque Damper
The car pulled 296whp/262tq on 88F Ambient Temp
Yeah the burn-out on the Integra I do it in 3rd gear before staging...

Nah...I will leave it N/A...I would love to, but its the daily driver. Thats why I have the turbo on the Integra LOL j/k.
@ TL Luver the GTR ran high 10's didnt know the guy so I dont know what kinda mods they had on the car. My friend's S2000 ran on drag radials 9.9@ 145mph
Im looking forward to go to the track on late July with both cars lets see what we can do

Sick runs with the Teg. I can't watch them since I'm at work, but I will at some point later on.
The reason your clutch failed is because the Stage 3 is the Kevlar disk. They've been having problems with it from what I have heard. The Stage 2 is a great option. Trust me, you aren't running enough power to make the clutch fail. I know Sean has had the Stage 2 on his S/C Accord which is making 350/300 and it worked flawlessly. Maybe opt for the Stage 2 disk?
I could definitely see you running mid 13s with a decent launch. With DRs or so, I could see low 13s. I'd expect 104-105 traps with that power. I hope to trap 103 once I get it running right (with the correct mounts, etc) and new clutch.
Btw, you're gonna need a tune
Although I don't think the TL-s ECU is so apt to detune the car as the Base/Accord ECU's do. The TL-s ECU is not made by the same company, so it's a little different and easier to tune.
