I have a '07 Type-S AT. I've gone from 3 GS-R's, RSX-S, '03 CL-S 6sp and a '04 TL 6spd. This is my first automatic car and I'm finding that car is being held back, like it has more power but the computer seems to get involved too much. Are there any companies out there making computer upgrades for this car and has anyone actually felt a difference with an intake upgrade.

Yeah, buy an intake, you'll notice it for sure- Also, about the ecu reproggraming, its not ready yet, we've all been waiting for hondata to release it soon!?! so it can be available to the masses. But some people already have it done on their cars(prototype/test cars) and I happen to be one of em'. When it comes out, you'll buy it for sure

 

Thanks for the advice...I guess I'll wait for the computer upgrades to be available. What intake do you suggest?

 

can you see if Hondata could see if they could do something with the car ecu at high altitude cause I have a supercharger and I'm running RICH over here, see if hondata could let me use a prototype

As far as Hondata goes.... I dont know if anything has changed but I had a lengthy conversation with them about 4 months ago. I asked them if they are going to come out with some sort of re-flash or PnP piggyback computer or something for the TL and they said no. I asked them what would it take (implying that I would pay a large sum of money) and they said there is no plans AT ALL to do anything with the TL. So thats that.
