I'm a big fan of the Racing Brake ET Series (ET300 and ET500).
I've got the ET500 with Slotted rotors on the '02 TL-S and have run them on the '07 TL-S as well. Very pleased in both cases.
BUT when I did my first pad change on the '07, I stayed with stock rotors and did not turn them, so I stayed with OE pads to keep the Rotor-to-Pad material the same. It's worked out fine, but whether it was really necessary or not - .

Life Expectancy can have a drastic range on aftermarket parts and is strongly driver oriented, I have seen two drivers with the same pads and one get 10k miles and the other get 30k it all depends how you drive and how you brake.
PowerStop Evolutions have a better Coefficient of Friction than the Hawk HPS (based on independant testing). And typicaly last about 10% longer. And they are a bit less expencive on average too!

I have car ADD
iTrader: (6)
^ you dont have to ... its good to keep pad / rotor material consistent
FYI, posiquiets are a GREAT price, VERY LOW dust...but.... i chewed those fckers up faster than my OEM brembo pads
OEM pads - 19k
PosiQuiet - 12k
similar driving conditions.....
i am going to go either RacingBrake or Rotora for my next set

I just replaced mine on my Type S last week with the Rotora pads from excelerate, i couldn't be happier, they stop great, very quiet and not much dust, ive only had to wipe my rims 2 times in the past week before i had to everyday there was so much dust!
