I hope that's without. Sound pretty damn loud if it's with the resonator.

Comparing the sound of this exhaust with the base model BBE exhaust they are very different in tone.

This is the resonated version. From the sound clips it sounds alot deeper than the base exhaust. When driving you dont hear any rasp at all. Its one of the cleanest sounding exhaust systems I've ever heard on a V6.

ATLP has staggered tips, as shown below:

I personally think staggered tips look more aggressive, gets away from OEM.

XLR8 is more OEM looking with flush tips.

(note that this is before the tip push-in Josh is currently working on)

ATLP sounds more like a powerful purr, whereas XLR8 is i'd like to say a more vociferated or amplified comptech catback.

Any difference in WHP between resonated or non-resonated versions for the Type S?
What are the gains for the Type S with this cat back for AT and MT's?

LMAO stillhere.....I have to say...I am loving it and the mods that were performed excelerate are perfect. I give the look a 10.

For the guy who was so kind in getting us pics can we please get a sound clip. I'm a little turned off by the first one I heard.

jdmturbosol if you can comment on the sound of your car versus those clips I'd greatly appreciate it. Also if you've heard the sound of the base I'd love to get your opinion on how yours sounds versus the clips avail. Looking at the pics I'm wanting to order one this minute. Listening to that sound clip makes me want to wait for more clips to come to a conclusion. You're a life savor Josh and thanks again jdm and gang for the prompt pic postings.

Thanks guys for the compliments.

As far as sound clips go everyone who has installed it has said they love the sound of it. The non-resonated version can be a little loud, but I had designed that for customers who want a more aggressive note, generally the younger crowd.

Angle of the shot doesn't affect the amount of space there is between the top of the tips and the lip. Look at the space between the top of the tips and the bumper on the left, and then look at the space on the right. Definitely more on the right...

There is adjustment points on the system to make sure everything fits flush. The best way is to have someone push up on the muffler and someone else tighten the clamp so it fits evenly.

Hey Josh. I have a base 07 TL. I know the exhaust note changes a bit from the Type-S to the base. From what you've heard was there any noticeable difference from hearing the type-s BBE exhause and the base? I can't rely solely on that first sound clip so I just wanted to get your personal opinion. Also for anyone else who has a type-s if they've heard differences between the clip and the cat let us know.

The look is grade A material for sure. Great work!

I meant to say differences between the sound clip and their exhaust.

Free install

Hmmm, does this mean we can't get the free install anymore?..
I was planning on driving up there on my Christmas vacation.
Guess I'll have to try and find a good install shop in the Detroit area....
Good job, I love the look and the sound.

Thanks for the hard work you put in to come out with the exhaust for our cars.
I like the tips of OEM looks for sure + Aggressive tone.

Nice work. XLR8.

Its cake to do the install. Maybe even cake with some frosting.

The hardest part is getting the nuts off the 3rd cat. Then its a breeze. If you have access to a lift its even easier.

It is an excellent job REMEMBER its has an A-SPEC kit installed that really helps a lot to make the tips look flushed...My car has the A-SPEC kit so I am satisfied with the looks although adjustments must be made for even elevations between both mufflers according to Josh...
My question has not been answered yet...Does the resonator installed on the cat back produces less whp than the non-resonated version...For me it is a must to KNOW before purchasing this product...I would like dyno charts comparing both...
Sooooooooonnnnnn to become the mos powerful bolt on Type S in USA

The resonated should make slightly less power. Maybe 2-4 whp, atleast thats what i've come to understand.

The non-resonated version might make a couple more hp but nothing you will feel.
