They would have to do a complete redesign for me to buy one. I'm extatic that GReddy is manufacturing an exhaust for us. I guess all the emails and posts from all of us members really did work... And a special thanks to topckret for getting his car in there for testing.

 

I believe GReddy is planning to manufacture as many as we want in this one time group buy initially. So anyone that wishes to purchase this system when it is available through this forum's group buy will get one, but will they keep manufacturing afterwards, there is no definite answer. They said they will watch the response from us and if it seems there is a strong demand after the group buy, they will determine at that time. So guys, we could be the lucky select few, so don't miss out. We'll have to wait for Chris to release pricing info to us.
And U4ICTHEORY, yes you are correct, the TL is not a rice rocket, BUT I hope everyone trusts me (or else they'll be looking for a noose to hang me with) the exhaust does NOT sound ricer, very nice refined sound, no rasp...etc. And yes indeed thanks Chris/GReddy and your welcome, it was just something I wanted to do for us TLers in this forum.

 

If you don't mind us asking, how much different was it then the 03+ Accord Coupe setup. I know it had to be extended slightly, but overall, how much different was it?

Well, this system was pretty much from scratch, starting from the cat flange. The piping was all changed with no resonators, the muffler canisters had to be rotated to be tucked up as high as possible, used the TSX y pipe with extensions...so I don't know how I could answer you question beyond that. The pictures are on the third page (3rd from the current).

Based on Toprockets comments, I'm going to go with the more horse power option. Like he said we could always add a resonator if we want it quieter.

 

This is exactly what I'm talking about. By the way, it's topckret ("Top Secret"), j/k, just givin ya a hard time. But I'm glad you got what I was talking about, at least this way we can have an option later, but if we went the other way, there's nothing we can do to free up those 5 extra whp later down the road.

 

After all the reading I would go for the more horse power option as well. I used to have a Supercharged Mustang Cobra with no cats that was loud as hell and I just wanted more luxory. After hearing the audio clip I wouldn't want it any quieter. I say bring on the power!!!

This is something I would be more interested in with the SP2 mufflers. I am happy to see an option being produced, but really like the SP2's better.

As for the SP2, lets stay on one topic at a time....we had a vote somewhere in the first 15 pages or so and it was overwhelmingly Evo2 so that's what was made.

 

Well, I understand many of you might be interested in the SP2 mufflers, but maybe Chris can give some insight. I personally do not like the outer curled lip on the tip. The older SP used to have an inner curled lip which looks nice. Take a look at GReddy's website: http://greddy.com/products/display/?...&SubCategory=1 and you'll see, the SP2 muffler picture in the larger/upper banner with a cutout picture. Look at the lip with with a ridge/ribbed edge. And regarding HP gains, I think the SP will have less than the EVO2. Besides, the SP2 are less expensive than the EVO2. With an opportunity to purchase at a special group buy price, get the "better" line? Dunno, that's just my

Looking at their site under the exhaust section, the EVO2 is the best looking of all of their options (although the G2S is perfect if you have a German).

 

That's my thoughts exactly. But let's move forward and get this 5 extra ponies vs. sound level poll done so that GReddy can hurry up and send out the prototype to Japan to manufacture it. Sooner we do this, the sooner they can manufacture and ship overseas back to us so we can purchase them.

 

Yea, I want one of these and it's already a day late to my doorstep!

There is a noticeable difference. Read up on the earlier postings to get a feel for the sound level.
