04 TL AUTO w/Greddy EVO Exhaust SOUND CLIP W PIX!!!

wassup guys, just got my exhaust installed. It sounds great so far, i've only driven on it mildly. I wanna break it in before i rev it up. but heres a short clip *excuse the movie in the background* and some pictures. the only thing im worried about is the right muffler is hanging lower than the left.

just like when you put together things, if it has 4 bolts per say, don't tighten each one down as you put it in, screw them all in, find the sweet spot, then tighten....

Sounds really good. Any kind of drone? I like the tips. I'm on the fence between this and a custom magnaflow. How does it look from the steet. I wonder if those cans are visiable. The magaflow mufflers are oval and hide better under the car.

As for droning, i can't tell yet(didn't really drive the car after installed). AT first i though the tip were too big , but once i put it on it looks proportion with the TL. If you are about 20-30 feet behind the TL you can see the nice shiny two round tip, you can't barely see the canister. I can't complain. Especially the price.

not every car is within the same spec...has your car had any kind of unibody damage? you can get a torch and bend the hangers...thats the easiest way to fix it...just try it! u cant hurt anything unless you really screw up...learn how to tinker with things on your car...it makes it more fun and saves you money in the long run...ive installed everything on my car except the oem accessories and i let my friend who has installed 100s of them as a technician at acura to install it...most mechanics dont know exactly what they are doing everytime, they just have a good eye and creativity to figure out how to get the job done

remove the exhaust from the hangers and have some one hold the canisters as you reinstall

there isn't anything to break-in. I just don't like to push it too hard because it brand new. There are tiny dust like particle coming out of the tip.

it doesnt matter if you break it in or not..breaking it in is just the carbon build up on the piping...once the piping is coated in carbon it ends up sounding better and better..you could be in vtec for a week straight and it would break in the same..just might take longer if you drive it conservative...but in the end it will have the same result

Glad you like it! Yes there is no need to break in the exhaust, you might notice a funny smell from all the particles/residue burning off from the insides of the exhaust, but that will go away after a couple days.

i'm sure once i get this exhaust, gas will be a problem for me the first couple of weeks,

too much v-tec'ing.. lol..

I'mma be filling up 3 times per week for the first 2 weeks.. I can almost gaurantee that. Since that's what i did for my CAI.

I don't see why not, it does not affect any electrical connectors. Maybe visual? Chris, can you elaborate on this? Is there any CARB exempt documentation? Thanks.

There's no reason why you shouldn't pass. This is a cat back exhaust system. If you removed one of the three cats in the TL then there is a chance you won't pass the smog test.

I don't know about sound level though .... I think some states checks the sound db ..... can someone confirm that?

I've had Greddy in my civic and accord before. They sound awesome. Very low note. I just wish the drone is not there.... but it is.... just hit the gas all the time so you can hear it growl.

In CA you will pass smog just fine since it has nothing to do with CARB. The exhaust does not affect any emissions equipment, therefore you are good to go. In CA, the only thing you have to worry about when it comes to exhaust systems (if they are catback), is the sound dB requirement.
