Hey, I have an '04 automatic, and im looking for some relatively inexpensive ways to boost the horsepower a little and make it sound cooler. any suggestions?

 

Depends on your definition of relatively inexpensive. You could go Exhaust for $800 - $1000 or Cold Air Intake for like $200 - Pully for $175ish, Thermoblok spacers for around $200 as I recall....stuff like this. Check the mod list below...there is all range of prices for ya there...and I am automatic as well.

 

what manufacturer should i get if i were to get a cold air intake, or a new exhaust? and what is the best website to buy from?

 

AEM intake

For exhausts there are a few choices. We have our own brand XLR8 and there are ATLP, Greddy, Comptech, and soon Tanabe.

 

what does a resonator do? for the XLR8 hey had it as a resonator version or a non-resonator version.

 

louder or quieter


also go for the AEM intake...J-pipe...

those are 2 good mods...slightly louder and bit more HP...

A resonator is essentially a muffler. It will make the exhaust less aggressive.

you said you had a aem computer programer is that the ones that are like 2,500.00

 

No...I never said I was running any AEM computer modules whatsoever. Must have been somebody else. I currently am running OEM computer with the comptech ACM installed with the supercharger - minus the knock sensor wire...which has been rehooked back up to OEM.

I once ran an AEM intake...but thats about it and fairly typical around here. Then when I supercharged we developed our own CAI system for it which has been replicated on here about 100 times by now...lol. Now the size and types of the tubes they are using sometimes is in question...but thats another story.
