so the gains for the TLS exhaust are going to be roughly the same as the base TL?

a mandrel bend catback on n/a usually frees up 8-11hp so yea expect the same gains on the s with is that the base tl has gotten with the xlr8 aswell as the same gains previous catbacks have putt out... it isn't like redesigning the wheel.... if you know what I mean

ya i understand what you are saying...but looking at the dyno, it shows a 6hp and 5lb of torque increase for the A/T....i'm hoping it'll be a bit higher for the type s A/T

I'm sure it'll be higher because the Type-S has more power to begin with. I would think it'll b roughly 2-3whp higher

Ya a huge 2% higher than stock. The incredible acceleration forces may break the seat hinges.

lol..the problem twigglius is we haven't even seen what it looks like on the TL-S let alone a dyno sheet. I'm hoping we get some sort of update. (pictures, video, something?) It's been 10 days since we've last seen or heard anything. (jokerunm's pre-photo's of the exhaust).

Sorry guys, I have been extremely busy. I am waiting for BB to finish the jig, polish the exhaust, take pics, and send me the dyno. It shouldn't be much longer. On a positive note, I got my first shipment of base TL exhausts in. So I will be posting up a sales thread shortly.

There are only so many dynos I can do. Most major manufacturers don't even give dyno info on every product. If someone buys a non-resonated base TL exhaust and does a pre and post dyno (and provides me with the dynos) on a 04+ TL Base M/T I will refund them $75.

I have a result on my 04 TL AT . a
Are you intersred? But this is a result on my car.
To get a true dyno result of before and after you should be doing the teston the same vehicle. This would make it a true test. Every Engine is a little different. Breaking period, oils etc.

So has anyone bought the non resonated version yet? I need input/sound clips. These tips are actually starting to grow on me, but I don't want to make a 1K mistake. I don't want to go resonated and find that it's too quiet or go non resonated and end up with a drone/excessive rasp. I have Stage 3 currently, as a reference.

I don't know what happened. These exhaust projects for the base model don't seem to be coming to fruition; they get overshadowed by the S projects. Guess I may end up going custom.

Sorry my bad the Dyno results I have are fo my car. I only have a CAI' and a UR pulley. I offered my dyno results to compare with a TL that has the exhaust installed. this way you can see the true gain in WHP.

I gotcha. But then you're not only talking about a different dyno, but a different car as well, and these cars will often vary by a few hp anyway!

The base TL exhaust has already been finished and is in stock and ready to ship. I have both non-resonated and resonated available.

The TL-S exhaust is the only exhaust not available to ship yet. And the J-pipe will follow after the TL-S exhaust.
