zEnclosure box info

does any one out there have a zEnclosure subwoofer box for a 3G TL? I'm thinking about getting one but I want some input from some one who actually has 1 not just an assumption from an audio geek. pics would be awsome

the link to the item is here

You don't have to run it to know it's crap. How is the sound supposed to get into the cabin with the trunk sealed off? You're going to have to put more power to it to get the same sound level and you'll end up with lots of rattles for the amount of sound that gets in to the cabin.

I know of at least one person on here that has tried it, I'm sure he will reply.

Do you drive around with your trunk open? I could understand making a good sounding system look good but to buy a sub enclosure for looks makes no sense.

I probably have more experience than you do

And for anyone who doesnt want to be an asshole, I have a kicker solobaric l5 with a kenwood 500w amp

I had it in a kicker ported box, which sounded good, but I couldnt get it bolted down correctly without drilling through the metal. So I went with the zenclosure box.

OMG...3.5GPA...OK...

got me shaking in my boots buddy...

hide behind college...sure...do it...set yourself up for debt...in a particular field that ran our own economy into the ground...real smart decision...

Just remember...my experience pays more than your economics degree...so stop with the pissing match already...you'll lose...

You just had a nice smartass comment to start off with
No big deal
Its just annoying when Im trying to give someone some info, because I actually have the box, and you try to act superior like you have authority. Im trying to help the guy, Im not, however, trying to be made sound illegitimate, or like a not creditable source. I have the box. I can give input. I may be 19, but I have experience. You dont know me. Dont make assumptions.

Its cool that your a pro audio installer, just next time, if im trying to help someone from MY experience, dont try to sound smarter or better than me.

remember, us texas boys are big and dumb, apparently

I actually did read through your build thread a while ago and thought it was pretty cool...i didnt think youd snap off on me with an asshole comment. Your here to help right?

Well, we can stop this now...
we all know the saying
"fighting on the internet is like winning the special olympics..."

Back to car audio. lol

The box is decent. Nothing compared to a ported box built to specs, but it looks good, and I still have bass.

I have upper deck rattle, as with most TL's, but nothing I cant fix with a little foam.

For the $125 I paid for it, I dont think I made a bad purchase.

After all, I could just build my own port through the rear arm rest hatch and I'd be dandy.lol

Its not that bad. Ive built enclosures before. You just have to get the port size right and it sounds good.

Im not a technically challenged college kid. I have a full tool set that I use to build everything from aquarium stands to complex 3-D shapes...

C'mon dude, it's easy to figure shit out on a calculator. Try making your numbers reality! Take your tools out and try and make your own enclosure! My man you talking shit on has the knowledge and the experience! Jason might be a smartass but he knows his shit! The enclosure you have is crap, just try to cut it up and make a port, I promise you it will sound like shit! And you'll still have rattles.

So after you finish you benching, go to your trunk grab that box do a couple of sets of military presses with it then chuck it into the nearest dumpster!
