XML radio & controls: a question
When listening to XM-radio and pressing channel +/- buttons on the steering wheel, it seems to jump on some predefined set of channels. Those channels are not my presets, in fact I would simply prefer it to move forward or back among all channels. Owners manual does not say a word about XM and steering wheel controls.
Anyone has an idea what channels steering wheel buttons use to jump on?

If you are on XM-1 the steering channel button cycles through those 6 presets only, and the 6 XM-2 presets if you are on XM-2. The XM button switches between XM-1 and XM-2. The SEEK +/- (catagory) buttons down by the cassette deck cycle through XM catagories. The right audio dial tunes individual stations. Or hit the voice command button and say " XM channel ...".
Also, you have a total of 24 XM presets. 12 for each driver. Did you use the correct key fob when you got into the car. It detects each driver and brings up their presets. This is the same for AM and FM. As well as each drivers last air conditioner settings.
Hm... that sounds logical, and it works the way you guys describe, well, kind of. After a while, the buttons indeed picked my presets, but sometimes (?) I would find myself listening to christian music, which is *not* in my presets list, regardless of XM band (1 or 2). It seems (maybe) that when a new song starts, the receiver goes into "song title" mode, and if I hit "+" button I believe it simply goes to the next channel in numeric order, as opposed to the next channel in my favorites. I am not sure about this, need to experiment more.
