Before purchasing my glorious TL, I bought a one year subscription for Sirius system (it was a gift). I really like this whole satellite radio thing, and since the time to prolong my XM subscription is coming, I have two questions:
- is it possible to convert TL to Sirius?
- are you aware of any specials XM may be running for Sirius customers?

Just trying to save a few bucks, you know ;-)

 

It is not really possible to convert to Sirius. Search this thread for some examples of people who've converted.

 

I don't know of any XM specials specifically targetting Sirius customers, but there is a $60 a year deal that people are getting (myself included) with XM. Here is the thread:

I got this deal about a week ago. If you don't want to read the whole thing, just start from page 10 (you can handle 3 pages I am sure). You don't need the code (but is is there on page 1). It will become clear what I am talking about if you read part of the thread.

As for your other question, you can't really convert the XM in the TL to Sirius and have it work as smoothly integrated. Do a search on that one.

 

As soon as Sirius is able leech itself into an XM radio with out any mods for a deck or other hideous external devices....I will be switching to Sirius pronto. One, the sound quality is so much better than XM. Two, XM just disappointed me. They took off one of my favorite stations. XMXL (Channel 42 - Heavy Metal) so they can make signal room for MLB? What the f$#!? I called to ask what happened and that was the reason they gave. The CSR said I could listen to it on the Internet. My reply was lovely, but I can't "listen to the Internet when I drive." That would be a new one to me.
