Yea, I think we've all had this experience too. I know there's been an earlier posting about this. I don't think there is any solution though, sorry.

Keep Right Except to Pass
At least it's easy to get around the problem by just turning up the volume!
The XM traffic channels are notably less loud than the majority of their other channels, too. They compress the traffic channels a lot more because generally you only listen for a cycle or two and because all you need is the traffic info, so sound quality is less important.

don't forget that it is a satellite signal you are receiving from abroad. The signal bounces around a lot and by the time it does get to your antenna it's probably broken down a bit. I get annoyed with it too. Sometimes I gotta turn it up to 30 on the volume to hear it at normal fm volume range.

Just a heads up if you haven't had an XM subscription for your TL.....they will give 6 months for $25 bucks. ![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I've noticed that some of the XM channels are more quiet than others, some seem to take more advantage of our factory subwoofers where others barely output any sound through the sub. Overall sound quality is pretty damn good though IMO.
