Xm radio problem

So I have done a search and come up empty. When I attempt to listen to xm and try and select one of my presets it says it is "updating" and will not select the station i choose. If I use the scroll knob it only scrolls to about 5 random stations. Any ideas on whats going on here

did u let it settle for like 10 minutes....sometimes time is a factor...if not it might be a hardware problem....or a software glitch...if u disconnected the battery and left i for like 10-30 minutes...and u come back and it still dosn't work...then call the dealer

It's scrolling through the presets. If I remember correctly, you have to change from the "Catergory" setting to the "Channel" setting ( a CH will appear in the display).

It's in the manual, in case I've got it backwards.

I encountered a similar issue about a month ago. However, I found out that one of the stations that I chose as a preset no longer exists.

Problem resolution

This also happen to me. Some of the channels disappear.

I called xm Radio (1-800-967-2346) and they refreshed my radio.

You have to sit in you car and tune the radio to channel 1 for about 15-20 min. for it to refresh.

All the missing channels are back!!!

You can also get your radio ID (displayed while you're on channel 0) and type it in to http://www.xmradio.com/refresh/ . Then the satellite will broadcast your update signal for about a day.
