Keep in mind, its also on your original subscrubstion, you don't have to pay additional money for the channels. I thought that was the best part. What now Sirus!

...xm needs to add Sirius. That'll complete that package nicely.

not to mention that Sirius has Howard Stern.. It sucks that Acura only has the XM option but I would probably get a portable reciever anyway..

:whocares:

What XM needs is a new codec that doesn't sound like shit. I can't believe Acura designs these killer DVD audio 5.1 systems and then adds XM which sounds like a 32kbps MP3! I get my car soon and the ONLY thing I'm dreading is having to switch to XM from Sirius which I have now in my Montero

Woohoo! This is good news. Now I can hear about my Cleveland Indians losing from anywhere in the country! Who cares about Howard Stern, he's a little lewd for my tastes anyway. What I care about is how Sirius has NPR and XM doesn't.....well, at least XM got the best guy on NPR anyway (Bob Edwards ).

Moving to BT/Navi/Audio/Video.

NO WAY! Holy shit, we only wish. I bet it's about 32k or 48k. Can someone end this and look it up?

Never mind, I just took my own advice and looked it up. According to this, it's 48kbps. Pretty shitty. http://www.xmfan.com/viewtopic.php?t=23725

Now, about that update to XM....when is that coming? Do you have a link to more info on that??? I'd be THRILLED if XM actually sounded decent.

And I think the NFL is a 5-year deal.
But the NFL has their heads up their asses because they did the same thing with DirecTV.
Only 10% of the population had it but they signed two long term deals already. Seems dumb to me to rule out 90% of the household in the country.

This is good news. I was listening to the Wolrd Series on channel 140 this evening while driving home. I was wondering what the score was and then I SAW it- displayed on the receiver! Great feature.
