What's going on folks? That's right, i'm a newbie to this site, and i figured i'd solidify my green-status by asking a potentially silly question. Here Goes...

I just recently purchased a 2004 TL Satin Silver Metallic 6MT/Navi. I love it so far. Some minor issues that i'd like to address, but for the time being i am extremely pleased.

When i bought the car, the XM radio was fully functioning. Recently, the screen began to say "Updating" and only certain stations would be available. None of which i wanted to hear. This has been so for about a week, sooooo, should i assume that the subscription has been cancelled or is it some other reason why i see the "updating" screen and also can "hear" certain stations?
I figured that the subscription may need to be renewed but i wanted to ask the experts.

Any and all input is greatly appreciated. Good Lookin' Out...

 

Which stations can you hear? If I remember correctly, you should only hear a couple (I know 1 and 250something) and they just play ads and/or emergency info.

 

It's been a few days since i've driven my car, so i'm not exactly sure which stations are "functioning". I do know, tho, that when i try to tune to a pre-set station, the screen reads "updating". Not sure if this helps.

 

What you are describing sounds to me like the subscription has ran out. My 3mo. free subscription just ran out, and it did the same thing. There are only a couple channel that work, and it's basically just info crap.
