TL not recognizing key remote as "Operator 1"

Hi guys,

I'm hoping there's an easy fix for the following problem. My key remote works fine except that when I'm in the car I'm not recognized as "Operator 1." My wife's remote works fine and she's recognized as "Operator 2." Because the remote works to unlock the door and trunk, however, I assume the transmitter is working just fine. Does anyone know the fix for this?

Many thanks,

David

I have the same issue.
And it doesnt allow me to customize anything.
I've brought this up to my service department last time I went in and they thought they fixed it but nope, so I have to go back this week.

where i first got the car it didnt seem right to me either, but then i read about the key needing to have the feature linked up...i think you need to hold both the lock and unlock button down and the light on the key will blink once or twice to indicate the feature is turned on or off...its in the book...

You do indeed have to link the remote to the car's memory settings. The manual describes how to do it, but if memory serves I had to fiddle with it for a while before I got it right. I linked Remote 1 back in 2004 and have never had a problem since.

I think all you have to do is hold down the UNLOCK and LOCk buttons until it beeps. Then try. If it works then great, if it does not then retry.

Yep, these directions are on the back of my remote.
