anyone else having xm issues this evening? got in the tl tonight and it wont get passed the loading stage, then just gives me --------- on the display. my sirius worked fine in my truck, i tried powering off the radio and back on, and same problem

 

Is the antenna iced over?

I too have your -------- LOADING symptom in my 06TL this evening. Unit does display the XM serial number on channel 01 as expected. No ice on antenna and subscription still in force. I am hesitant to call XM due to their notoriously poor customer service.

 

However poor their customer service is, your system isn't working right now, could they possibly make it worse?

I developed a cauliflower ear from being on hold on my last $77 renewal adventure. I did have $77 success for the cost of an hour and a half of my life. Seemed like I spoke with every citizen of India.

I too will wait and see if this matter takes care of its self.

 

Huh maybe this is my issue and not the USA-SPEC i-pod intterface, just had it installed and now I'm too having XM issues, was quick to blame interface since both issues are happening at the same time, well instalation and XM display saying loading anyway just thought it was the interface maybe not??????

 

Had the same issue in so cal about 4:00 pm. I thought maybe XM missed a loan payment on the satellite

My TL's XM reception started getting spotty and dropped for a few seconds between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm while driving from Orange County to LA on the I-405; there was no XM dead zone anywhere on that route when I drove it in the past.

XM reception now seems to be back to normal, though.

 

My XM service has magically healed itself! Hope everyone else is back as well. I did find some chat about the XM outage here but nothing specific about the cause.

I had the same problem last night with XM, so it was obviously an XM specific issue.

Speculation - Sirius/XM will be adding live data services in the near future (Traffic, gas prices, movies, etc) for new car navi (information) systems. To make room for this new live data they will have to shrink the space allocated for the audio services. Expect a few more of these service interruptions.

 

I was having an issue after work last night too. Glad to hear it wasn't just me.

I noticed it happened about a month ago too.
