I wonder if the current receivers in the TL and RL will be able to play this signal. My guess is we would have to get an upgrade module or at least a software change.

The technology, titled XM HD Surround, is a partnership between XM and Neural Audio Corporation which provides content with six discrete channels of digital full fidelity audio powered by Neural Audio technology."

 

That's an interesting move. I'm curious about the channels they will select. If they do music I dont belive many of the songs out there are recorded in 5.1 surround sound. Will they remaster all the tracks or will they be limited to the current availability?
