I was thinking about 50% on my windsheild.. It didnt affect my rx-8 has anyone tinted theirs and know if it will be ok??????

 

I put in 30% Llumar ATR Charcoal which is a metalic tint on all windows except the front windshield. I haven't noticed any difference in the Navi in the two months since I had it installed.

My tint shop said he does several TL's a week and has never had a problem reported with the Navi.

I'm putting on the Moleskin felt this week while I install new speakers.

^^thats alittle brave isn't it? seems that everyone on the boards and even at my tint shop told me that metallic film causes distortion of your navi signal. If you want to tint the windshield, go the safe route an use a non-metallic film.

 

i think i am gonna def. go the safe route!!! I have lumar film on my 8. i think thats pretty good tint right???

 

gps is in the rear not the front

 

Never had a problem with navi and I have metallic tint for almost 2 years now. The manual clearly states that it "may" cause interference. That doesn't mean it will but they didnt test it either.
