I am very interested in doing the navi hacks for deleting the annoying OK screen, changing background and getting a trip computer. I am just worried about voiding my warranty. This is my first new car and an awesome one at that, but warranty is important. I would guess that it would void the warranty for the navigation system, which I am sure is an expensive unit! If this is the case, has anybody had any problems with their navigation that they believe was caused by doing these hacks? If so, did they just change it back to original and would the dealer still cover these problems?

Just make sure you reload your factory stuff when you give it in for service. The nav hack is something that is easily revertable, it's better not to take a chance. I have enough other mods on my car that would void a few warranties. I'm sure you do too.
The guys in your shop will love your mods when they see them because 80% of their TLs are stock and they like to see this cool stuff. If it comes down to covering warranty work with the parts concerning those mods they will completely change their tone. Don't trust them. Getting a denial on your $2000 navigation system if something was to be done under warranty would suck.
There are other places you could show off your mods. Like an acurazine meet. Making your dealer think your car is more stock than it is will benefit you.
