Why the hell do I have to pay $240 for the nav update in CAN when its $149 in the US?

on 12/3 the 3.70 disc will go on sale for $149 USD + Tax/Shipping
The reason the Canadian disc costs more is because the people at Alpine got pissed when they went to Canada and paid with US money but were given Canadian change in return, which is completely useless and frustrating when you go to buy a soda and you realize the jackass at the grocery store gave you what looks to be a quarter but is actually some odd Canadian metallic tender disc.

3.7 Covers US and Canada
It's the same disc for a different price
Today exchange $1.04 CAN = $1 US
Why the bloody difference of almost $100?
Anyone willing to sell me their 3.6 on the cheap when they buy the 3.7?

Do to canada having a smaller poplation than the US, Canada will have less points of interest and fewer roads to cover with the Navi. So if you compare roads to roads or points of interest between the two countries then the Canadian price is outrages when compared to the US price.

Anyone selling their 3.6 disc?
Thanks.
P.S. And yes it would be nice to get an answer here to explain why we keep getting gouged on pricing when the exchange is in our favour and the product is exactly the same... not happy with Alpine. The update just came out and as such represents a perfect opportunity for Alpine to update pricing to be fair and consistent.

When I was in BC last year I went to Starbucks and made my first Canadian purchase of the trip... I was stunned when I gave the girl a Canadian $10 to pay for my coffee and she gave me a HAND-FULL of change in return.... I was like WTF am I supposed to do with 10lbs of coins, you got any bills? Apparently they like to hear their coins jingle up there?
Can I get a two-ney?
