Where to route amplifier power cable?

I want to lay down some 8 gauge power cable to the trunk. Where's a good place to run it?

Do I have to remove the rear seat to get the cable into the trunk?

you can run it down the left side of the car. you can pull up the plastic pieces at the bottom of the door sill and probably fit it under there.

as for the rear seat, you don't necessarily have remove it to fit the cable through. when i installed my dom's box, i fit two video cables and some power wires through a hole in the right side of the rear seat. I had a snap-on grab tool that i fished through to see if there was a hole and i was able to feed the cables through there. its where the back and bottom cushions of the rear seat meet.

you have the remove the trunk lining in order to see where they come through, and then you can just pull them through.

Thanks for your reply!

When you say "right side of the rear seat," is that the right side when facing forwards? like, the passenger side?

na im sure he's talking about the drivers side of the car as thats the side the battery is on. i ran my power cord from the battery through the firewall, along the drivers side under the plastics through to the trunk... easiest cleanest way

thanks

Did you have to drill into the firewall?

sorry, all of my directions i say in terms of standing from the trunk and looking toward the front of the car. so, run your power cable down the driver side because, as stated, that is the side that the battery is on.

the cables i ran, i did on the other side, and i know there is an opening in the seat there. i would only assume it is the same on the driver's side, but i haven't checked.

I was able to fig 4 gauge into that little channel under the rubber thing on TOP of the door sill...I'm sure 8 will be no problem.
