Wheel alarm

My friend saw this in the SEMA magazine. It seems pretty interesting. $199 for the system.

Sounds like a good deterrent... But I don't get the dash display. A thief wouldn't steal your wheels if you're in the car, and if you're not in the car who's looking at the dash display?

The display is mostly so you know its fully functional. The system checks its self every 24 hours.

What about an alarm w/ a tilt sensor? They'd have to jack the car up a bit to get the wheels off

Pretty cool, but yeah I think a Tilt sensor would suffice, but these thieves may just d/c the battery rendering the entire alarm useless, but that's why I have the backup battery installed. But even then they will just break in the car and just unplug the brain and its done.

But if you jack it up from the axel(or whatever its called) the car wont tilt as bad, because there is still tremendous weight placed on the axel. Now that is pretty hard to do on cars that are low, but it is possible, thats why they have "low profile" jacks. When I got a flat in my jeep, the stock jack didn't raise the vehicle high enough(placed in correct spot on the chassis), friend came with a jack and jacked up the axel next to the tire and the vehicle barely moved
