What is the normal mA draw in our TLs?

So my HFL crapped out on me a couple of days ago. So tonight, I hooked up my multimeter to the negative battery terminal and the ground cable to perform a parasitic draw test. I was getting ~600mA with everything turned off. After disconnecting the wire harness to the HFL module, I was getting ~70mA.

So my question is have anyone tested for what is a "normal" parasitic draw on a TL with a functioning HFL unit? I just wanted to see how much amps, if any, a normal functioning HFL unit will draw on the battery when everything is turned off. I just wanted to do a comparision between a working and non-working HFL unit.

thanks

thanks ohsixMTee.

btw, my TL is a non-navi model. Not sure if that will make a difference.

I believe you have to wait 30 minutes for all systems to go to sleep before testing.

Excessive Parasitic Draw Killed Battery

Just took my 05 in for a dead battery. Since the battery was less than 3 years old I had hunch something was causing it to go down. Dealer found the HFL unit was the culprit. Not sure of the readings or how they identified it. They changed the battery under warranty and swapped out the HFL unit for $440. HFL unit cost $297.

FWIW...About a year ago wife be gan having dropped calls when she was receiving them. She'd call the person back without any problems. A week ago the HFL stopped working all together.

I normally see 0.024-0.030A. If you wait for the computers to sleep, a bad HFL will be hovering around .200A.

Are you waiting for the computers to sleep? Or immediately reading the meter?
It takes about 20 minutes on these cars. I find that locking the doors helps.
