What Mids & Highs are you guys using??

Looking to finally start upgrading the sound in my car because, as we all know, the factory radio is weeeaaakkk (that or my oem amp is bad or I'm just half deaf already). I'm not looking to spend a fortune on speakers nor am I trying to blow the doors off the vehicle next to me. I just want crisp, clear sound. I wanted to start with buying an amp and two sets of components to replace the 6.5" speakers front and rear. The extra set of tweeters will be installed in the rear deck as well. Mostly want to know what speakers you guys are using and why you like them/decided to use them. I've had good experiences with Pioneer and Kicker products but I've heard good things about other companies (infinity, diamond audio, mb quartz, etc.) as well. The amp I was considering using is the PPI BK800.4 Black Ice Series. Speakers I was looking at are Pioneer TS-A1605C or Kicker KSS65. Subwoofer will come later down the road and I know I'll lose the use of the factory one once I install the above. Anyways, on with the ranting......

Spend all money on 1 set of components dont waste money on rears its countrrproductive unless your going to do some very serious processing. You can see what i did for 1K in my thread. Search for "mild grade fever"

I'm using JL Audio C5s. I like them.

I second the thought of rears being a poor ROI. Also, if you are set on buying rears, do coaxs instead of components, unless you just really like spending money. In which case my PayPal address is: adam-sfas@kc.rr.com please feel free to spend your money there.

I'll make sure to look into the JL's. And sure who doesn't like spending money? Just don't want to buy something that's overkill or something I don't need which is why I'm asking for input. Thanks for the reply.

Image Dynamics for me Doesn't matter what others have, you need to audition as many sets as you can and decide. or just buy whatever you get a good deal on and be happy! what is the budget?
