I'm in the market for a new alarm system. I thought it would be helpful to others as well as me if I started a thread about aftermarket alarm systems that members have installed.

What alarm systems do you have installed?

What options/accessories did you get along with your alarm?

How much did it cost? (self install or professional installation)

ive got an compustar pro its a alarm/starter combo i also got a bypass/data module that didnt require me to leave the valet key inside the car.

it was a professional install cost me 800 canadian with the alarm/starter and bypass module and install

 

viper 5900. 1 mile range. alarm and remote starter with a lcd screen. 500 for the unit installed plus another 184 for some relays and extra labor.

 

Clifford Matrix 3.3 remote start n alarm in one....combo system. i got a fortin bypass kit...very easy install. id recommend directed electronics alarms n remote starts to anyone....granted they all went a lil mainstream because a lot of the companies have been bought up by directed but they still have a good product. prestige and audiovox are other companies id recommend for alarms n remote starts

 

Factory alarm, but added shock + glass sensors in parallel to hood switch.
