What does everyone use for BT Audio
Just bought my 2008 TL-S and my last few cars have had BT Audio integrated, seems dumb but after having this "luxury" it seems like a must have for me as I hate the radio stations in my area.
What does everyone use to stream BT audio to their TL's?
Price doesn't really matter I'm looking t anything from full on module kits to simple aux to Bluetooth converters.

How is that one powered? I tried one for a day and dont recall which one exactly, but it was terrible. Ended up returning it and using my simple aux cable that I have been used to.
If this is something that you can connect to the aux input and forget about indefinitely then I would be interested. If you constantly have to take it out to charge, and fiddle with getting it to connect everytime then its not worth it.

There isn't an internal battery so it'll turn on/off with the power of the car.

This is what I have:
I already had one left over from my Inno. I have not ever gotten around to putting my BB Music Gateway into my car still, but that was my plan. BBMG in center console with a BB charger. Run the cable for the cassette adapter into the console and then never have to plug-in my phone again.
I purchased this, , to go into the center console so I can power the BBMG as well as still run an additional cable out to charge a phone if I need/want to. Always nice to have multiple charging ports for long road trips and multiple devices in the vehicle.

People will disagree with me...I use the Belkin Car Audio Connect. The only thing that's a little bit of a pain is that I have to tap it to connect when I start the car (really no big deal) and then I can pause and advance tracks (vs. using my cellphone to control the tracks)- my phone stays in my briefcase in the back seat- I've been using it this way for several years and have been happy with it. The AUX comes from a USA Spec interface.

Wouldn't be able to do that on a stock 04-06 setup though, you need a way to input the audio.

4 hour battery life, no reviews, so no idea what sound quality will be......no thanks.

There is no 'data transfer' it is all just analog audio...think headphones. The BMG has a USB port purely for power and then it has a female 3.5mm audio jack that needs to be fed to the stereo system. In the 04-06, without other installed equipment, that is where you would plug in the cassette adapter's male 3.5mm jack. In the 07-08, that is where you connect a male 3.5mm to male 3.5mm into the AUX jack.

Can I ask what the point of using that BMG BT if it still need to be plugged into the aux port? Does it clean up the signal better than plugging the phone in direct? If so ok I get it but if it does nothing but give you the option to not take your phone out of your pocket then it seems null to me.

I use the grom bt3... I had some problems with my iPhone ... But now that I have an iPad in my dash I have not had one problem .. Makes me wonder if my problem was isolated to the iPhone. Either way it's easy it connects quickly. And it looks stock.

I recommend the HomeSpot NFC enabled Bluetooth Audio Receiver! I have been using for about 8 months now and it works flawlessly. For only $29.99, not a bad price either.

Well then I am interested in trying to BMG. Since I have the day off does anyone know if this item is carried locally in any stores? Maybe some sort of cellphone store? Thats where I got that other one which I didnt like, but figured I will try the BMG since you all say its good. This way if for whatever reason I dont like it I can just return to the store.
Thanks

It has a micro-usb port (comes with wire) for power (i use a 2 slot usb cigarette jack adapter) and an aux jack. This is a set it and forget it type of deal, because it remembers the last device paired. When you leave and come back in your car, when it powers on it'll automatically reconnect to your phone and all you gotta do is just press play.
There isn't an internal battery so it'll turn on/off with the power of the car.

I "think" it is discontinued. I usually only see it listed at random Amazon sellers now. There may be better ones out there now, this was just a good safe bet for several years. There are just a lot of junk ones you have to wade through to find the couple of good ones.

I have a much better solution better audio quality compared to Bluetooth and for less than $30 for people with iPhones and 2007-2008 TL's. I got rid of my BB gateway.

I got the blackberry music gateway which is nice for the fact I got my phone to auto play when I get in and stop when I get out. Although I have to say I'm appalled at its weak line out audio and its quality. I can max out my radio and its maybe as loud as a cd on 1/3 audio. Plus sound quality just isn't there.
