What does the "CH" mean? (YES! I RTFM!)
What does the "CH" mean? (YES! I RTFM!)
Well, at least I didn't see it in the RTFM manual... (by all means point me to a page!)
When I've got my phone in the car (Motorola V710)... Sometimes next to the lil phone indicator in the upper middle of the dash (that means the Bluetooth connection is made), there is a "CH" to the right of the phone icon and sometimes there isn't... I NEVER charge my phone in the car, so it isn't that... I'm sTuMpEd....
I'm sure it's something simple... But I am at a loss.
THANKS!!!

It stands for "Channel," and means your XM tuner is in "Channel Mode" as opposed to "Category Mode". In Category mode, when you change channels up or down using the tuning dial (again, only on XM), you'll find that you can't leave the XM category you're currently in (Rock, Pop, News, etc.). This is good, for example, if you listen to all of the Rock channels, but don't want to cycle through 100+ channels to get back to the beginning of the Rock category.
In Channel mode, you have the full range of channels, and the tuning dial will hit every active channel before going back to Channel 1.
Modes are selectable by the "Mode" button.
