What do yu guys think of this?

Ive been shopping around and thinking about putting a sub or a pair of subs in my tl. I found this offer on crutchfield. My budget is very low for the whole setup and if this deal seems to be a possible solution.

What do you guys think of kenwood? reliable? good quality?
this is also an option

What do you guys think? how hard will 150 rms subs hit?
Thanks alot guys
Alan

even though stage 1 is there lower end stuff, i'd go for the Rockford.

150 watts rms isn't ear popping, but compared to a stock system, you'll definitely be pleased if you want more bass

What kind of name is kenwood in car audio? are they known for making decent stuff? I would rather go with the higher rms subs if the fidelity will still be ok.

kenwood is average. if you hear anyone say kenwood is awesome and they love it, they're probably talking about their higher end stuff. the subs you posted are SVC, which isn't their higher end stuff.

Rockford also tends to under-rate their equipment

on ebay, you can get a Rockford stage 3 2ohm DVC (P3) brand new for $135. if you can find a good amp that can go down to 1 ohm for around $200 (which you should be able to do) that will be a better look

Sorry if this sounds dumb but why would I want an amp that runs at 1 ohm if the sub is made for a 2 ohm input?
Thanks

a 2 ohm DVC sub bridged will go down to 1 ohm.

i think the Rockford P3 and a Hifonics Brutus amp will be about the same price as what you posted above. it will also run double the power and sound better compared to the kenwood and rockford stuff you posted
