What is the Difference Between Direct and Easy

On the navigation system, what is the difference between a direct route and an easy route? I tried to do a search, but no pausable results came up. The manual is useless to this regard. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I don't have a 'real' answer for you, but I can offer you my guess. Direct is fastest way (which will mean stupid turn offs....etc - i.e. the turn off has a way to get right back on the highway you are on, and the turn off is a straight line, where as the road curves....direct would tell you to turn off). Easy is w/ the least amount of turns (wouldn't tell you to get off the road above).
