I think all his time is taken up with the roof spoiler project. Here is a thread...I had a similar box made....and it's pretty simple. Just scroll towards the bottom.

nice install..but not a fan. I like sound but have alway found that 8" in a large car will not do it for me. I picked up a set of JL audio IB sub they don't need a box I will remove the seats make a wall and add the subs. Im not a bass head but like clean sound. a little 8 even a jl 8w7 would not do it in this size of car. I know just sold my 10w7 in ho box it was to big...

I read everyones post thinking any moment i would be using paypay and wow what happened. Being a former car stereo installer i was interested in this to a point. Except for the fact the box looked a bit funny haning there, and would end up having a sort of ported box design being that the sub would hit in sdie the trunk than travel in to the cab via the existing sub hole. We did the Boston Escape's stereo and the box was hanging off the roll cage. Kinda similer to this box. But that was a small SUV And well needles to say we did what Boston wanted and later the changed the set up. But anyways, Was this a go or not i went to that Element Designs website and they dont seem to have anything for the TL.....

Do they make free air subs that would work for our cars?

In short...nothing that works great. Nothing can compare to a sub in a proper inclosure.

Lightbulb

sorry if this is off base but I haven't seen any mention to it... I know its semi cheese but has anyone considered one of those amplified bazooka tubes I mean couldn't the Sig either splice into the stock sub or just outright replace it I dunno any thoughts?

In a long thread it is always smart to just read the last page to see if reading the rest is needed.

Not to get any hopes up, but is there a TL up in Sacramento area that is willing to stop by for an hour to do some R&D?

It died 2 years ago. Every attempt failed. This is the worst possible way to do a sub for so many reasons.

I seriously don't know why I am still subscribed to this thread.. projects dead.

go here if you want something custom and form fitting. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/huge-uncald4-discount-3rd-gen-subwoofers-845270/

Don't mind the thread crapping in there, I got one of his prototypes from 5 years ago and they are some of the best built, best looking, best sounding enclosures you can get. mine is paired with a JL and it thumps so hard I had to have my whole rear car dynamat-d. Find his email or facebook!
