Wavelab surround recording help for TL please!

Hello all.

I searched but couldn’t find anyone else having this certain problem. I was hoping to get some advice and help. I recently started using Wavelab 5. I am able to make DVDs with groups of 2-channel songs now with no problems. My problem comes with 6-channel DVDs. I made a DVD with the Linkin Park Reanimation (6-channel) in one group, and Live in Texas (2-channel) in another group. When I went to play it in my TL, the DVD started to play fine. But after 44-45 seconds the sound went out. I hit fast forward and the sound came back. Then after 44-45 seconds it went out again. That kept happening, no matter what track, or what part of the tracks. So the music recorded, but for some reason the sound cuts out approx every 45 seconds and the only way to get it back is FF, REW, or next/prev track, but it just goes out again after that certain amount of time. The group 2 with the Live in Texas (2-channel) plays totally fine. These are the steps I followed:

1. Got .ogg files, then used Nero 6 to convert the files into WAVs
2. Opened Wavelab, opened new montage, picked 48 000 sample rate
3. Went to CD/DVD tab, clicked DVD
4. Went to Edit Tab, then clicked Mode, and picked 6 channel
5. Hit Files tab, then clicked File, then Import Surround Files
a. Had to pick each file separately (then decoded)
6. Once the “Insert Audio Files” pop-up comes up, I checked “place each file on a different track” and “shift existing clips to the right”
7. Then hit DVD-A tab, hit the wizard, then the pop up came up.
a. I just changed the pause to 00sec instead of 2sec (not sure what else to change, if anything)
8. Saved Montage, opened New DVD-A project, and then imported montage.
9. From there I just clicked OK until recording was finished.

• I used a Memorex DVD-R
• My laptop doesn’t have surround speakers/card. It does say it’s a digital sound card. But it can’t play back on my laptop for me to test.

Can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong? It’s really weird that the music is recorded on the DVD, but it cuts out (though the time keeps going). Hopefully I was able to explain this well, I know it's confusing, sorry. Thank you all for your help!!

The above is a link to the WaveLab forum. Try leaving this message there and see what they say. This is an odd problem and I have no idea why this is happening. I have created many 4.0 and 5.1 DVD-A's with WaveLab and never had this problem in the TL!

Mostly what I have been doing is converting old quadraphonic tapes (4.0) to DVD-A. I have also ripped music DVD-V's to six wave files as well, but mostly it's the preserving of these old mixes that I spend time with.
