Volume Cranked for HFL

I have a Samsung Sync (A707) and when I connect to the HFL I have to crank the volume almost to the max and people can barely hear me. I have the windows shut and the fans off...still no dice. Whats the deal?

Bad mic on the HFL or software on the phone not up to par.

The volume on the radio has nothing to do with whether people can hear you or not; it only allows you to hear them better. The problem is where the microphone for the HFL link is. You need to speak closer to the mirror if possible. The mic is up there near the Homelink buttons. Crappy spot for the mic (should have been on the sun visor or that proximity). Try this, I too have had the same problem and this seems to alleviate it.

My car has navi. I checked with Acura and my phone is supposed to work with their software. I have tried to speak into the mic more...but I am still yelling, and everyone complains about poor voice quality.

I found a spot in the systems setup screen in my navigation that indicates "mic level" but I couldn't figure out how to change the level...I tried every button possible and touched everything on the screen. It seems to be locked out for some reason.
