Heh I wonder how many hidden commands are around.
I have been using "Show Route" recently, and after going through the manual noted that it isn't in there at all.

I need to learn these. The only one i bothered remember is "go home." I wish it had true voice recognition, so I could just read off an address or store name. Voice recognition is to the point where a cheap desktop (think: mac mini) could do that.
edit: In fact, I just did some checking, and there are cheap voice recognition libraries available to developers. Alpine (or whoever develops it) needs to get their asses in gear.

Nope. It has just the basic recognition, it would be nice though to just press the button and say "directions to 100 north ave orlando florida"
:-) But i guess being stock we will have to wait on that...

I have an '07, and to be sure, there are WAY MORE than 290 voice prompts listed in the index for the navi.
I stumbled upon one not listed...and since I'm just starting to use this thing I'm assuming there are LOTS that are not documented anywhere.
I said "Find nearest video store" and it listed all the blockbusters in my area and a bunch of independants. I was shocked it worked!
I'm sure there are probably many many more. I wonder how we could get the real skinny on this from Acura. Any ideas?

OK so I found a PDF of the Navi System Manual online at the Acura Owner Site. I was able to copy the Index of Voice Prompts from there, and with some cut-n-pasting got the list of documented prompts for the '07 Navi. But like I said in my previous post...I already found one that isn't documented. Truth is there are SO FREAKIN MANY of these, it'd take a year to learn them all! Anyhow for those of you that may be interested...here's the latest Voice Command Index.
