I am sure there was a previous thread on this topic but cannot find it. As a one day old TL owner, are the only available voice commands found on the Navi's help menu? What are others, besides the Hands Free Link, that are available.

Also, I noticed that the voice recognition system is also able to pick up shorten version of some commands.

I am not aware of a list of the shortened commands. Some of them do not work consistently. For example, if you just say a radio station number like 680, the computer will retort back radio 680 a.m. However, this is not foolproof and some feel the recognition is a little slower when you do not give the complete command.

 

I attempted .. "Muzzle sales rep" and .. "make lease payments"! no go

 

Has any noticed that the car has a hard time understanding voice commands when it is raining? I'm assuming it's because there's additional noise from the rain drops hitting the car?

 

Hands Free Link had trouble hearing my voice during a semi-heavy rain. Talked loud and it worked.
