Voice command question!

To set up your car to where you can say "Play disk 4-track 5" or whatever, do you need the navigation system?

Because I don't have it and I dont want to spend forever tryign to set that up if i know I cant do it from the start. I'm already having enough trouble hooking up my Razr with bluetooth link.
