Video on the NAV screen.
OK. I am ready and motivated! Who did it? How was it? Where can I get the KIT?
Any chance I will be able to get a video output from the DVD-A player? ( probably not, but just throwing it out there.. ).
THANKS!!!

You can't get video from the DVD-A player.
The TV/Video company I (and many others) used is AVElectronic

I had a car stereo installer put in the system and it did not seem to be very difficult. It is pretty much plug and play if you use the built-in RF modulator for audio. I had him wire my audio into the XM system instead. I also had inputs from the system routed into the cabin so I could plug in a portable DVD player or computer to play movies. I use it mostly for TV (to and from work).

Where is the switch located?
Anyone do this and use the Ipod as an input? I would think it would be easy to do. Course, you wouldn't see anything different on the NAVI. Not as good as the Alpine AI-net interface for the Ipod, but sounds great for DVD. Need LCD's in the headrests for rear passengers.
I'm likely going to do this when I buy an '05.
Also, what's the resolution of the Nav screen? Won't DVD's look like crap? Broadcast TV would probably look OK?

im also curious about resoltuion? if anyone is familar with the aftermarket tvs, please compare. for example my panasonic 7200 in dash looks incredible and my myron and davis headrests screens could look better. hoptl, when you watch a movie on the navi with your set-up, how is the sound quality. is it 5.1 like the dvd audio. that would be amazing
Has anyone here used or heard of these?

It's a din sized DVD/mp3/TV tuner.
I really don't like apple, but would get an Ipod if it had some sort of navigation integration with our TL's.
However, having a DVD with mp3's burned on it would fit the bill.
oh yeah, you could also watch movies and TV.
