What if you put one in the DVD ROM drive from the trunk? or is that just for updating the Nav system?

I personally have not looked in to this hard but search this forum. There are some aftermarket items that you can buy so you can watch DVD videos on your screen and it does not change the Navi functionality.

I tried inserting a DVD video into the dvd navi system in the trunk. Fingers crossed, but the screen just displayed a message saying something like "Wrond media, or DVD". Check out www.avelectronic.com for more info.

Perhaps you also needed to cross some toes and hold your head to the right while hopping one foot.
