Valentine One Radar Detector Hardwire Question

I recently purchased a Valentine One Radar detector and would like to hardwire under the mirror. I saw a kit on amazon that allows you to access the power within the mirror since ours has the self dimming feature. Has anyone ever done this or tried to wire anything to this source that could lend me any suggestions?

Here is what I found
Amazon.com: Radar Mount Mirror Mount Bracket + Mirror Wire Power Cord - Valentine V1 Radar Detector: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Radar Mount Mirror Mount Bracket + Mirror Wire Power Cord - Valentine V1 Radar Detector: Car Electronics

I cannot wait to install!

did you end up using it? I used the one provided by Valentine in my old car, tapping into the interior lights, but need to set it up again.

just get an ATM fuse tap and wire that up to the hardwire kit.
Then route through the A pillar, across the headliner to the radar

^^ that's what i did. i took it a step further and hard wired it to my window lock fuse, so if i need to turn off my radar detector i just put on the window lock and all goes quiet...really good for times when stuck in traffic and something keeps setting off your radar.

oh and i wired the mute button into the dash (from progress thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-p...-never-835983/

gutted spare dash button

I taped into the mirror's 12V line to hard wire my dash cam, so yes it is doable.
