For those of you without the amount of free time that I have, I would like to inform you of a widespread issue with the 710.

The camera on the phone is off...when you point the camera straight on at an object, the picture appears to be tilted slightly. To rectify the problem you actually need to turn your hand a few degrees to the right. I called Motorola and was told that I could send it in and they could attempt to repair it. I also called Radio Shack and was told that I could bring it back to one of their stores within 30 days given that I had the box/receipt, etc.

Before buying the phone, make sure that the camera works well!!

 

God, I wish I could get the phone *without* the damn camera in it. Useless technology. But thanks for the info.

 

i agree I just want a small phone with bluetooth. I do not need a camera or video or an mp3 player. I just want a good looking small phone that will do all the normal phone things.

 

That reminds me of a joke one of the comics on "Last Comic Standing" said. He was talking about this very thing...bluetooth, MP3 player, camera, text messaging, video phone et al, and the punch line was, "I just want a phone that works...how much for that phone?"
