v710 OBEX/OPP Hacking Contest
Check this
Looks like OBEX and OPP may not be that far away for v710 owners. This is really such a great phone and Verizon has really crippled it in so many ways.

It's too early to tell how likely this is going to be yet. If Motorola uses the exact same Bluetooth chipsets between two CDMA phones that it produces, and one of the two has OBEX & OPP enabled, this will be an easier (but still painful) task.
If Motorola doesn't have any existing Bluetooth phones that we could "borrow" OBEX & OPP profiles from, this may never happen. It would be a very, very big task to add this into the V710 without having all the Operating System code that runs the V710, and how to hook into it.
I'm not saying this is impossible. But, it could be years away.
So, what I'm saying is that you shouldn't purchase the V710 if you really, really need either of these two features - since they may not happen.
P.S: I got the link corrected so that it works now.
