I know that Alpine makes the navigation unit in the TL so here is my question. I also have the after market apline navigation unit in another car. Is is possible to use the DVD cd from the alpine unit in the factory unit? The reason is that the alpine unit has a little more info than the factory. Here are a couple examples:

1) as you are driving around it gives you info on what city you are in along with the street.
2) If you move the joystick around it will tell you how far you are from your current position.

Oh and the alpine DVD I have is the current one as well. Just wondering. Thanks

If you go to www.acuranavi.com and read the FAQ you will find that Alpine says you cannot use other Navi discs. However, based on comments about the two types of Navi discs there are for Acura, I suspect that the worst that will happen is that you will get an error message if you put the other disc in your Navi.
