v710 incoming: they hear me: I can't hear them
This is my first post on this wonderful forum, so if I'm out-of-line with my manners or protocol, please bear with me. I am new to this.
I have a V710 (Verizon) with the new firmware, etc. and have successfully paired my TL (2005) with the phone. Outgoing calls work fine and, on incoming, I get the "You have an incoming call" message and when I press the talk button, I connect BUT i cannot hear the other party although they can hear me fine. (usually cursing about Bluetooth technology).
What am I doing wrong? Do I need to change any phone/TL settings to get this working? It seems SO CLOSE, but not quite there...

Sounds like either a problem w/ the car's microphone or a setting on the phone. I'm actually about to also purchase this phone model so please keep us informed if it doesn't work for you. Does the car's system recognize your voice commands?

I guess I should have elaborated on the settings.
I have no trouble with outgoing calls. The system recognizes my voice commands and displays the signal, battery and call info on the dash. It mutes my radio OK.
I have the volume up on my phone. Don't really know if that matters. My phone rigg tone is "standard". And "loud".

Did you know you need to say the word "Answer" after you hit the button? For the longest time I didn't and thought it was not working right because sometimes it was answering and others it would just be dead silence while I was saying Hello? Hello?.
The next time you get an incoming call, hit the button, then say "Answer" and see what happens.
Saying "Answer" works everytime for me now.

I read the owner's manual and it just says "push the button and begin talking" or something to that effect, but I will most definitely try the "answer" response when I test this tonight. I hope it really is that simple! I'll let you know! Thanks.

I think I "fixed" it
I don't think saying "answer" does anything at all: it's not a recognized command.
But I did change the notify routine from the voice to ring. I've only had 1 call to test this and my radio wasn't on, but I was able to both hear the calling party and they could hear me. Too busy last night to really shake it out, but I will keep you posted on if this works with radio on, etc.
