I was lucky to find the phone in stock, as NYC Verizon stores were all sold every time I called since 8/12, finally I found a store that had one and got it. The phones great, however...When I insert the connector end into the V710 I have to really push it in very very hard for it to make contact and begin charging. Is there anyone else with this problem?

 

All the BT devices I have--V710, HF800, HF820--and the mobile Phone Tools USB cable seem to have finicky power connectors requiring a double take to insure they are working.

 

My old Motorola T720 uses the same power/data connector as the V710.

The T720 connection seemed fickle, and i'd sometimes have to "tweak" the connection a few times to get it to charge. The V710 hasn't given me any trouble yet.

Same problem here, I picked one up on 8/11, the day they released them, & had to go to a few stores to find one. It works but it's just a little bit of a pain. Just like my old Motorola V60. The good news is it used the same connection so my old car charger works with it.

 

My V710 power connection seems more solid than what I've seen on my other Motorola phones (the adapter connection is the same on all of them). You may have a defective V710, Nicki.
